MISS SOHEE

Each gown is an armor of intricate beauty.

The Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, served as the beautiful backdrop to Miss Sohee’s latest Spring-Summer 2024 Couture collection.

The regal decor and luscious flowers that surrounded the salons, accentuated the beauty of each gown. Meticoulous craftsmanship and a dreamy yet powerful aesthetic is how I can describe what experiencing Miss Sohee’s show felt like. There was no reason to be anywhere else that chilly morning.

In Sohee Park’s own words “I’ve always found beauty in old, neglected objects. They speak to me on a deeply personal level. The idea of collecting beautiful antiques, with rich and meaningful stories woven into their very essence, allows me to breathe new life into them.”

A dance happens between the timeless and contemporary aesthetic that Miss Sohee’s gowns embody. I could see any of the looks in a modern interpretation of a classic novel, a royal ball, or a Bridgertonesque series.

This collection's color palette consists of soft jewel tones that remind Sohee of cherry blossoms and magnolias when they first bloom in the Spring.

From Gemma Chan to Naomi Campbell and Ariana Grande, women who choose to wear Miss Sohee, are women who carry themselves with vulnerable strength. The gowns are magnanimous yet the woman wearing the gown is never lost in the beauty of the creation. Each gown is an armor of intricate beauty. Each gown weaves Sohee’s inspiration, memories, and found objects. Each gown is in a way a look into the mind of an artist who is not afraid to share her vision with the world. And let’s be clear, it is a beautiful one.
